This Thief Felt He Was Spider-Man

A thief in Guiyang City, Guizhou, China tried to rob houses by crawling up gated windows of a tall building like Spider-Man. A passerby who spotted him crawling up the building alerted the police. When officers arrived, in his bid to evade arrest, the Spider-Man acting thief hung onto several window gates while police tried to get him to come down. He stayed in his awkward position for hours and refused police orders for him to come down.

Firefighters later arrived while local residents gathered to watch as the man was hanging from the tall building. In an amateur video recorded by one of the on-lookers, people were heard calling on the man to “be careful” and “watch out for his safety,” while the man told police that he would not come down unless his family came for him. However, after several hours, the man finally gave up and crawled down to the police below. He was then placed in handcuffs and taken to jail.
